FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS) technology integrates storage virtualization and provisioning across multiple disk arrays and connection protocols for an easy-to-use, scalable SAN solution. Virtual server environments are exceptionally well-served by virtualized storage.   • The FalconStor NSS HC series is a set of high-performance SAN appliances with built-in high availability. The FalconStor NSS HC series appliances are optimized to service server virtualization environments and provide a full set of data protection and recovery features.
  • FalconStor NSS can be deployed as a gateway appliance to virtualize the existing storage infrastructure, offering advanced data services such as thin provisioning, snapshots, and replication across multiple platforms.
  • The FalconStor NSS Virtual Appliance enables iSCSI SAN services on top of the direct attached storage (DAS) resources of a VMware ESX server. It enables high availability for VMware, even in the smallest of environments.

Data Deduplication System

FalconStor File-interface Deduplication System (FDS) offers an easy-to-deploy, easy-to-manage capacity-optimized storage (COS) repository. FalconStor FDS helps you minimize online storage capacity requirements for backup and archiving applications. Capacity requirements for disk-to-disk (D2D) backup applications can be reduced by as much as 20 times or more by eliminating data redundancies resulting from backup operations. With FalconStor FDS you can retain more data online, longer, for quicker data restores.

In addition, FalconStor FDS replication technology enables cost-effective disaster recovery (DR) by sending only unique, deduplicated data across the WAN, significantly reducing bandwidth requirements and costs.
